NDT Testing

NDT TECH SOLUTIONS, offers a comprehensive range of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services with or without rope access designed to ensure the safety, integrity, and reliability of your assets. Our advanced inspection techniques help detect defects and irregularities without causing damage to the components being tested, providing you with accurate and reliable data to make informed decisions about maintenance and operations.

Our NDT Services includes :

Conventional NDT

Our conventional NDT services utilize time-tested methods to evaluate the properties of materials and components :

  • Visual Inspection (VT) : A primary method for detecting surface defects and irregularities through direct observation or using tools such as magnifying glasses and mirrors.
  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) : Ideal for detecting surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials using magnetic fields and ferrous particles.
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) : A cost-effective method to reveal surface-breaking defects by applying a liquid dye to the surface and observing the bleed-out pattern.
  • Ultrasonic Testing (Thickness Gauging / Flaw Detection) : A simple method for detecting the thickness of the metal by using ultrasonic sound waves with the help of suitable probes. The highlight of our UTG machine is that our probes are paint-through
Borescope Inspection

Borescope inspection allows for the visual examination of areas that are otherwise inaccessible. This method is particularly useful for :

  • Internal Inspections : Inspecting the internal components of machinery, pipes, and engines without disassembly.
  • Video Documentation : Providing video and photographic evidence of inspection findings for detailed analysis.
Eddy Current Testing

Eddy Current Testing is an advanced electromagnetic testing method used primarily for detecting surface and near-surface defects in conductive materials. It is highly effective for :

  • Crack Detection : Identifying cracks and corrosion in materials without removing protective coatings.
  • Inspection without removing paint : Measuring the thickness of coatings and materials with high precision.
  • Conductivity Testing : Assessing material properties and detecting material degradation.

OilField Hoisting and Handling Tools

NDT TECH SOLUTIONS provides examination of the external surface and welds of all Drilling handling tools using the active-field AC yoke dry/wet magnetic particle technique (or) Liquid Penetrant technique. Evaluating Fatigue cracks on connections (if present) and external surface only, Dimensions if needed.

Tubular Yard Management

NDT Tech Solutions :
Tubular Yard Management Services optimize operators’ pipe yard storage, transport to and from the rig, and stock inspection.

NEW AND RIG RETURNED TUBULARS.

All new and rig returned tubulars received at the pipe yard will receive a visual inspection to verify conformity of the quantity with the cargo manifest. Any damaged thread protectors or pipe bodies with obvious damage will be reported. Tubulars received in bundles will be unbundled and laid out on inspection racks ready for inspection. Upon inspection, tubulars found to have damaged threads or bodies will be reported and segregated from the good lengths, which will be taken into stock. All rejected lengths will be put to one side for repair or scrap, at your option. When good lengths are taken into stock the items will be listed by stock number, rack location number, OD size, grade, weight, range, total footage as well as individual tally lengths. A customer purchase order number can also be added for identificaton and tracking purposes, if required. The following is the scope of work recommended for the above. It may be extended, in the event that the Customer requires additional services.

Our inspection services include

• Full Length API Drift
• Visual Thread Inspection.
• Application of storage thread compound.
• Cleaning and reinstallation of Thread Protectors.
• Full Length tally
• Supervision of Racking

Maintenance

Tubulars kept in stock will be monitored on a regular basis. Items requiring maintenance would be reported to the customer representative and any maintenance would require approval by the customer prior to the work being carried out.

Reporting

A daily, weekly or monthly report will be handed to the Customer representative. The report will cover the items inspected, maintained and shipped during that period.

Lifting Gear & Lifting Equipement  Inspection

Our inspections of lifting equipment are performed and documented according to statutory, class and company requirements. Our inspections have the necessary external and internal approvals to perform the inspections and the control according to valid requirements for the specific equipment type or category. Approved procedures and checklists covering the scope of work of the specific inspection are used and the results are documented on our inspection reports.

Crane load testing & inspection

Offshore crane load testing and inspection are critical components in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and reliability of lifting operations in the offshore oil and gas industry. At Tubestar, we specialize in providing comprehensive load testing and inspection services as per relevant ASME / API standards / crane Manufacturers requirements to ensure your equipment meets the highest standards of safety and performance.

Our Crane Services

Visual Inspections : Our experts conduct thorough visual inspections to identify any signs of wear, corrosion, or structural damage.
Load Path Inspections : We meticulously inspect all components involved in the load path, including ropes, sheaves, hooks, and brakes, to ensure they are in optimal condition.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) : We use various NDT techniques, such as ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, and conventional NDT methods to detect hidden flaws in the crane’s structure.
Load Testing with Waterbags : We conduct proof load tests to confirm that cranes can handle their maximum rated capacity. This involves lifting loads that exceed the crane’s rated capacity to ensure structural integrity. This involves testing the crane’s response to dynamic forces and movements, ensuring it can handle the stresses of offshore operations.
Compliance Inspections : We ensure your cranes comply with international standards and regulations, such as API RP 2D and crane OEM requirements.

Tubular Pipe Cleaning and Coating

NDT TECH SOLUTIONS offers ID / OD cleaning services for used drill pipe up to 10 inches in diameter. Cleaning involves the removal of loose internal coating, scale, and other debris from the ID or OD of the casing and tubing. After cleaning, we can provide an internal coating of corrosion inhibitor.
